Hatters Millinery Heads to Wagga

Hatters Millinery Supplies delights in Wagga

Last Friday evening, the new Proprietor of Hatters Millinery Supplies, Catherine Kelly, closed the door of her Millinery Attelier in Rozelle, hopped into her wagon previously loaded with millinery goodies and slipped into the peak hour traffic, heading for Wagga.

With little room to move in the crowded wagon, she stopped en route to pick up fellow Milliner, Christine Waring and they arrived in Wagga several hours later.

The following morning, they made their way to the historical Riverine Club to unpack and sort Hatters’ collection of new season felt and straw bodies, swiss braids, crinoline and gorgeous feather trims.

At the stroke of 10am, excited local milliners descended en masse and sales were brisk as the morning continued.

Throughout the day, Christine demonstrated a number of her wonderful swiss braid techniques to interested parties, creating delicate floral leaves and curling vines as trims for spring racewear.

Fellow Milliners spent time browsing the products and chatting, discussing the latest in spring colours and fashion trends and it was a pleasure to while away the warm afternoon with the two lovely visitors.

The RMA thanks both Catherine and Christine for taking the time to come to Wagga and we look forward to seeing Hatters Millinery Supplies here again soon.
